What Is Osteorthritis?

 The Greek translation of the word osteo (of the bone) artho (joint) and itis inflammation. Joint bone inflammation may not be the most accurate description of osteoarthritis since joint pain rather than is it’s most important characteristic. Inflammation is found in many forms of arthritis it is not usually associated with Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is one of many forms of joint disease. But it is the most common form of arthritis.

It affects the articular cartilage, the smooth, glistening, bluish white substance on the ends of the bones. Have you ever seen the end of a chicken drumstick?
